  • The same thing happens on my website. I have checked the plugin on virustotal and it does not report it as a virus, but I would also like information from the developer.

    Regards and thanks!

I’m also experiencing this problem. I downloaded the plugin on my computer and Avast also stopped the download. I then disabled Avast so that I can inspect the code and files if it matches the one on website and all is the same. Please fix this, there appears to be a problem with a script that is located inside plugins directory inside the plugin (pgc_sgb_lightbox.min.js). Code looks really strange.

@zviera Sorry, but it’s difficult for me to comment on this! Contact Avast support and have them give you a report on which part of the script is suspicious to their antivirus. The most “difficult” thing in this script is the YouTube and Vimeo icons in SVG format.

    Hi,

the same thing happened on my website. Any quick fix?

The cause seems to be pgc_sgb_lightbox.min.js

@gallerycreator Thanks for the reply. I did report the file as a false positive to Avast. The form said they will check on it. So far, I haven’t received any replies, so I’m not sure what the status is and whether it’s “safe” to use the plugin.

@others You should also submit the file as false positive to Avast. Perhaps when they receive more requests, they will check on it faster. This is the URL: https://www.avast.com/report-false-positive#pc

I also reported it 2 days ago and gave them a link to this thread to witness that is a wider issue

I said without checking this – that I thought that the software did not get updated in the what for me is the last few days since it started to happen. Avast might have updated itself during that time

Seems to work fine with the new files – tried on 3 computers and all reached the site with no problem

I doubt if Avast is that fast in rebranding a file but just to mention:

I downloaded ORIGINAL JS file (to have it as backup) Avast flagged it as positive – I had to report the download as false positive (and then extract it out of my vault). It said that it was sending the offending file to Avast for their inspection. Unlikely that inspection occurred, new analysis happened and their database updated and greenlighted the orig files (and the new ones ) in the 5 mins before I got to try website again

Well others who did not change to the new files can test and see if the warning has gone

@gallerycreator Thank you! The new version fixed the issue. Avast does not flag my site anymore. Best regards.
