HI because a lot of subscribers forget yearly subscription auto-renew, I want to disable for current active memberships, auto renew

    1. when i tried with one it told me “Changing the recurring indicator will not set up or remove a subscription with the gateway. This checkbox is for updating RCP records only.” so how do I get Stripe to cancel auto-renew or do I mis-understand
    2. is there a bulk way to change auto-renewal to off.

Thank you I look forward to your assistance.

    Hi @rbdev

If a membership has auto-renew enabled, then unchecking the “auto-renew” box does not cancel their subscription in the gateway. That needs to be done separately by clicking the “Cancel” button near the membership status. See: https://restrictcontentpro.com/knowledgebase/editing-existing-memberships/

Currently, we do not have a feature where you can disable auto-renew in bulk. I would suggest letting your recurring members manually disable the auto renew under their accounts page. Or, you may cancel their membership, let it expire and let them re-register again. If you go to this route, please ensure the auto-renew setting from Restrict > Settings > General is set to “never auto-renew” before letting them renew or re-register again.
