    Hi there,

Not sure if this is a legitimate bug but I noticed while building and testing my site that if I add a product to my basket all works fine.

But if I refresh the page the action happens again and doubles up the quantity going into the basket.

Just thought I would pass this on in case it is a legitimate issue.

  • Hey there, @mmk175! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

Can you please go to WooCommerce > Settings > Products > General and check if the option Enable AJAX add to cart buttons on archives is checked?

If it isn’t, please check it and save the changes. Then please check if the issue persists.

Please let us know how it goes.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Hi @carolm29

I have that setting enabled but I have also included a link to a short video showing the bug.

It would seem that the bug is related to me adding to the cart via my homepage.

I have included a second video link below that just shows the adding to cart via homepage vs my other product pages. It seems to have a slight glitch in not showing/updating the basket live.

Thanks very much for your time so far.

    Hi there @carolm29

Not sure if this is related but I noticed the checkout and nav menu are glitching as well now.

Thank you for reaching back, with further details on this @mmk175 .

I went ahead with trying to reproduce this, with a test site of mine, to no avail.

Moreover, my test site’s setting, in the screen at Products > General are the same, and I am using the latest version of the Storefront theme (linked here), while only WooCommerce is active.

It would seem that the bug is related to me adding to the cart via my homepage.

This is a clue, certainly. How is the homepage built, by the way?

    hi @anastas10s

As far as I know, all the updates were up to date at the time of posting the issues. I have few outstanding now which I need to review but they relates to “flexible shipping, google site kit and WooCommerce Shipping & Tax” but they are unlikely to be causing this issue I think?

Worth noting, I did have an issue with the tabs in my main menu and some elements within the check out (you can see this in the screen shot) where little buttons are appearing strangely. It has some how fixed itself.

But anyway, regarding how my homepage is built.

I use mega menu for my menus.

Otter blocks for basic text and images.

And a plugin called smartslider. This is used for the banner, and the sliders of products you see. Note: I did add in a specific URL so they could be added to the basket from here. Could that be it?

Hopefully this gives you an insight. You time is much appreciated.

Thank you for reaching back, clarifying things further @mmk175 .

To rule out plugin and theme conflicts, temporarily deactivate them and re-run your test. If the error no longer occurs, you can find out which plugin or theme is causing your issue.

I trust that points you in the right direction, but if you have more questions, let us know.

    We’re happy to help.
