Can one domain house a wordpress site and a non-wordpress site

I have a website, newwestsound.com. I want to have a WordPress blog. Can the wordpress blog run in the same domain or do I have to get a new domain, like new-west-sound.com and run the two sites separately. Ideally, I’d like to keep my current site but have one page of that site be a WordPress blog. Is that possible?

Can you point me to the right search terms to use to research how this might be done, if it is possible?
