    Hi.

    When some of my clients go to register, a message appears saying that the administrator has temporarily blocked them. Some customers claim that they enter the password correctly and others admit that they do not. In any case I think this message should not appear. I would greatly appreciate your help with this problem. thank you so much.

    Hi @xenet,

    After a quick test where I was blocked after 1 attempt, it looks like blocking is extremely strict for a site with outside users who may be prone to mistyping or forgetting credentials.

    Ensuring “Immediately lock out invalid usernames” in Wordfence > All Options > Brute Force Protection is disabled is our recommended action for sites with a larger quantity of public users prone to making that kind of error. I suspect this is currently turned on in your case.

    We also recommend trying somewhere around 3-5 for login attempts and forgotten passwords in Wordfence > All Options > Brute Force Protection, counted over 4 hours, with a 30 minute lockout to prevent too many emails or users contacting you too often asking to be unblocked.
