Good, but missing some important features

I run a functional gallery site, geared towards top down images used in role-playing games. I have a broad range of categories, and people like to come and search for things for their games.

Features that would make Foo Gallery so much better:

• Foo Gallery lacks a site-wide gallery search. This is a major drawback. If users want to find things, they have to know which album/gallery it’s in, then go to that gallery and search. Cumbersome
• Users cannot sort a gallery listing. There is no functional way for users to know when new images have been added, unless I as admin make all the galleries sorted by new items. Users may want to sort on date, title, etc. and either ascending or descending. These are very standard option any time you have a listing of something.
• No function for users to upload their own images. I have to use a third party plugin for that.

On the plus side, Foo Gallery is very customizable. I have Premium Foo Gallery and Foobox. Together I can make custom captions to display extended information about a gallery item. Foo Gallery is better than other gallery plugins I’ve tried, and more reasonably priced. I just wish it had more robust features. Sometimes people want more than just a photo gallery.
