menu problem: not showing child page when current page

Hello,

I am currently working on my website using an adapted version of the boumatic theme. i have a problem that i hope you could help with.

If you look at the left-hand column, there are two pages, ‘design disciplines’ and ‘interviews’ that have a number of subpages/children attached to them.

When you are on one of the child pages, the drop-down menu closes up so you can’t see which page you are on.

I would like to have the drop-down menu open whenever you are on one of these child pages, also when you are on the parent page the “>” symbol is attached to all child pages I would like this “>” symbol only on the current page.

finally, what I would really like is gaps where the child page menus are and for them to be visible when you scroll over the parent page.
