Hi there, on some of my WooCommerce sites this big banner is not going away:

An important update is required for WooCommerce

An important security update for WooCommerce has been released. It is recommended that you update as quickly as possible.

The thing is, WooCommerce 8.9.3 already is installed and when I click “See available updates” then I see there are no updates available. When I click “Dismiss” then it jumps to the WordPress Dashboard, but the next time open any WooCommerce page in the backend, the banner is there again.

I already tried deactivating all other plugins and switching to a default theme, it does not change the situation.

    Hi there @w-sky,

    Thanks for reaching out.

I understand the issue you are facing and can confirm several merchants have also reached out facing a similar issue.

However, as much as several are facing this issue on their stores, I’m unable to replicate the issue even on a freshly installed WooCommerce site in my local environment. In that case, I would recommend checking the workarounds shared here and here.

    I hope this helps.

Thank you for pointing me to that thread. (I did make a search before I posted but I missed that…)

The workaround to change a database value worked for me, the update database method did not.
