Sync with folder / Update metadata in Lightroom etc

    Hi
    I wonder if there is a way to update and use updated image metadata to keep in sync with other apps. So that the IPTC and EXIF used and displayed in PhotoGallery can continue to be used elsewhere.
    Or is there like a Light Room plugin.?

    e.g. 1 i upload images to Photo Gallery.
    seems photo gallery can read the image metadata – set in other apps, inc Lightroom. Which is great.

    I update the metadata elsewhere, my case Lightroom.
    I’d like to re-import/update the images into PhotoGallery.
    and

    I update metadata in Photo Gallery,
    i’d like to access those updates elsewhere, eg. Lightroom.

    etc.

    Is there a way / a hack?
