Where are Patterns persisted?

Hey all. I struggled with a recent update which stopped WordPress working altogether. I don’t think that issue was related to the theme, but I could no longer log in at all. The error logs were not much help either, so I proceeded to wipe most of the install and started again which seemed the quickest way to solve it.

The issue with patterns arose when I grabbed the data from the old WordPress, the patterns weren’t backed up with the rest of the site’s data. They are pretty crucial as they are used for maintaining some sub-links and mentioning where I got permissions from and linking to some books which I hope will provide a tiny bit of income eventually. I’m pretty confident navigating the files and DB, but I can’t see where patterns would be stored. By the word “patterns” I mean when you select a number of blocks and you group them together into a pattern which can be reused on other pages. I’ve been looking through wp-includes, but with no success so far. I also couldn’t see them in the options table.
