Are having problems finalizing purchases in savarca.com. Fails when the user is not logged in.
When you fill in the reservation details to proceed to payment, the system redirects you to the details again and we cannot close reservations without login.

If we deactivate the plugin the reservation process works correctly. The problem is being caused by yoast. Another test I have done is to roll back the yoast version to 20.3, where this problem does not occur. We currently have this version 20.3 installed

We have tried using other templates, and the result is the same. We have disabled all the plugins, and the result is the same. Yoast is causing the problem.

We have created a development environment with only the essential modules and another template for testing.

    https://dev.savarca.com/

Currently you have the latest version of yoast installed where you can see how it fails.

They can help us? thank you.

    Hi @dgirona

You menotioned, “….the system redirects you to the details again and we cannot close reservations without login.” – so if I understand correctly, you are facing the checkout page is not going through. I tested it on your dev site and noticed it says “Returning customer??Click here to login“. Please check this link.

Do you have guest checkout enabled? To check, kindly head to WordPress dashboard > WooCommerce > Settings > Account & Privacy > Guest checkout > “Allow customers to place orders without an account” and check if this is checked.

Yes, we actually have the guest purchase active. If you are registered or you register, then it will let you pass, but if not, it will not let you pass. Right now in the production environment we have 20.3 and it works fine.

How can we solve this problem?

Currently, clicking on links or products on the dev environment returns 500:internal server error. We’d have to investigate further on this as it could be something specific to your setup, but we are unable to do so on a public forum. You might want to consider?Yoast SEO Premium?for personal premium support so we can take a closer look at this.

The problem is an advanced opcion of yoast, “Remove unregistered URL parameters”.

If I disable it, the problem disappears in the latest version. That’s why when you roll back to version 20.3, when that option is not there, the problem disappears. You have an error that you should resolve for websites with WooCommerce.

The free module should not have this problem.

    Hi @dgirona

I have replicated the scenario from my local site using Yoast SEO 22.8. The steps are:

    1. From WooCommerce > Settings > Account & Privacy – I removed checkmark from the following settings:
Allow customers to place orders without an account
Allow customers to create an account during checkout
      Saved the settings.
    2. Next, I enabled Remove unregistered URL parameters from Yoast SEO > Settings > Advanced > Crawl optimization. Saved the settings.
    3. Next, from incognito and without login, I tried to purchase a product and instead of checkout page, I was asked to login with the notice: You must be logged in to checkout i.e I was not allowed to complete the order.

Can you kindly confirm if I have the correct settings and the steps to replicate the scenario?

Yeah that’s right. The option to buy without being registered must be active.
    Any plugin active.

    Hello @dgirona

Please toggle the button to disable Remove unregistered URL parameters since you have identified that’s the issue. This is an advanced feature designed for power users, and an incorrect configuration can hurt your site. Every site works differently and will need its own unique configuration. That’s why we usually recommend that users read and understand Advanced crawl optimization settings: URL cleanup before turning ON any of the settings.
