Version 4.6 seems to have serious bugs

I just updated to 4.6 of the free Authors plugin, and it now slaps a hideous author box on the bottom of every page even though I had always had it set to display only on posts. de-selecting everything except posts in the settings makes no difference. Also, on the posts where it is supposed to show, the author box has lost all formatting and instead slaps a big purple box that reads “Hi, I’m [author]!” Anyone else seeing this? I need to roll this back of possible.
