• I always used this plugin but unfortunately it hasn’t worked correctly in a while. You used to be able to add multiple rules to categories , now you cant. A pity!

@thebrianking I would like to ask you to uninstall my plugin.

The development of such a plugin is very time-consuming. I provide this plugin free of charge. Unfortunately, you honor my efforts with only a 1-star rating instead of asking the community for help, if you have problems with it. Therefore, I do not want you to use my free plugin. It is also of no use to you.

But people are asking the same thing on the support forums as I have and you have it marked as resolved!! Which it isn’t. I wrote a review of the plugin I am using, and it isn’t working so others will know it doesn’t work. I can appreciate that it would take a huge amount of time to put something like this together, but you are being very dismissive on the support forum.

You and the other user wrote that the plugin worked for a long time. Quick Featured Images hasn’t gotten an update this year, so why would it stop working? In my opinion, the reason for this problem comes from a third party. As long as I can’t reproduce the problem, I can’t fix it. The idea behind WordPress is community support. If you are facing a problem, you can support the author with details on how to reproduce the problem. The author makes the effort to provide something for free. It would only be fair that you make the effort to provide the information instead of giving a 1-star rating. 1 star means “very, very bad and doesn’t work at all”. Quick Featured Images has 50,000+ active installs. So do you think that a plugin that is soooo bad has so many users using it successfully and for so long?

The purpose of your bad review is to get my attention. Your previous review has already been deleted by a moderator – he had written that you should describe your problem in the support forum to get help.

Instead you wrote a new, bad review. You don’t want any help. You just want to denigrate the hard work of a plugin author. If you were interested in solving the problem, you would use the support forum instead of posting a bad review.

I am very happy that there are thousands of users who honor my efforts. You are not one of them. Therefore, I respect that my plugin is of no use to you and ask you to uninstall it.

But they said on the post that they setup multiple new clean installations and the problem persists even detailing what the issue was regarding the default image category!!! I also setup a new installation and I can confirm what they said also. No plugins but Quick Featured Image. You say you didn’t do any updates lately, but WordPress was updated lately.

Once more, the review area is the wrong section for support request. You gave Quick Featured Images just 1 star which means you don’t like it. So, please uninstall it and find another plugin.

If you have support questions, make the effort to open a support thread with all the information to reproduce the problem. I’m not replying here anymore. Anyone who gives me 1 star is not worth more of my time.
