why is site so slow???

    Can anyone explain to me why this site is so slow and how to fix it? Maybe its just my computer?

    But it’s far from graphic intensive, and there’s no flash or any kind of animation or video. So what’s the deal? The theme is just twentyten with some very minor modifications in a child theme folder.

    And by the way, it’s pretty slow navigating around the WordPress Dashboard when logged in as well.

    it took about 16 seconds for me. little slow, but not that bad.

    -check with your server if the database server or if they have any problems at their end, or they made any changes to your account. Also check with them if you need to upgrade the hosting account?

    if that does not resolve the issue, you may try increasing memory available for php.

    You may also try using a caching plugin?

    If nothing else work, you may try repairing your database?

    Also see if you have:

    -too many large images? Too many large images translate into more load!
    -too many plugins? Too many plugins translate into more load!
