I’ve loaded Events Calendar and Events Tickets (not the paid version yet) but it doesn’t seem to work with my theme.

My website is a Business Directory.
I have dClassified loaded which is needed for Directorist (Premium version loaded) but Events Tickets shows error messages and won’t work.
My IT department is stumped as everything looks like it should work.
Please help me!!! I want to start selling tickets to my events from tomorrow and will load the paid version once I know it will all work.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @sportsadminplus ,

    Thank you for reaching out.

For us to understand and learn more about your setup, could you provide the version of the following?

    1. PHP
    2. WordPress
    3. The Events Calendar
    4. Event Tickets
    5. Theme and Version

    Thanks Tristan083.

I only signed up for The Events Calendar and Event Tickets on the 24th of May, and I’ve not got the tickets part to work at all. My IT guy is thinking it’s not compatible with the theme.

Any assistance you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

    1. PHP – 8.1.28
    2. WordPress – 6.5.3
    3. The Events Calendar – 6.5.0
    4. Event Tickets – 5.10.0
    5. Theme and Version – dClassified 1.20 suggesting possibly I update to 1.24 but I’m not sure if that is what it’s telling me (and also the plugins Directorist Gallery 1.3.5-1.3.7 and WooCommerce Stripe GAteway 8.3.0 – 8.3.1)

    Hi @sportsadminplus ,

Thank you for your message and the information.

Could you please get back me with the exact error message when using Event Tickets? Also, when does the error message appear? Is it immediately after activation of the plugin?

    Thread Starter sportsadminplus

    (@sportsadminplus)

I’ll have to activate the plugin again.

    (@sportsadminplus)

I activated the plug in, opened up in incognito mode, refreshed, the message appeared but disappeared. I refreshed again, and the same thing happened.
I then went to the events tab, and the error was showing on the screen. I just snipped it so hopefully you can see it properly.

I don’t have any events set up, because we had deactivated it.

    Hi @sportsadminplus ,

Thank you for your message and I apologize for the confusion. We don’t have access to your website’s admin dashboard and we’re prohibited from doing so per WordPress Forum Guidelines.

That being said, could you please share what the message was or a screenshot of it on your response to this thread?

    Hi @sportsadminplus ,

Thank you for your message and the information.

These seems to be deprecation notices. Apart from these notices, are there any functionalities that are not working for you?

If you are working on a production site, I recommend getting these notices suppressed from being shown on the screen by adjusting your server’s PHP configuration. Your WebHost should be able to assist you on this.

Our products team are aware of these deprecation notices (due to PHP version updates) and are working through them via our regular maintenance releases of the plugin (see PHP 8.x: Understanding what the Deprecation notices mean).

The only thing that doesn’t work is the ticketing system. I’m having to look at another system because this one isn’t doing what I need.
I’m not sure what you mean by a Production Site.
What do the Depreciation Notices do?
What is line 154? How can I work out where the issue is with my site?

    @sportsadminplus ,

    Thank you for your message.

What I mean by production site is technically your live site (clubsplus.app). We have users who are using testing domains like dev.clubsplus.app or staging.clubsplus.app, which are copies of the live site for testing plugin features without necessarily breaking the live site. (I hope that makes sense).

As for deprecation notices, these are messages from PHP (the programming language) that intends to let the developer/programmer know that a function he/she is using is no longer being made available — more details in our PHP 8.x: Understanding what the Deprecation notices mean knowledgebase article.

Line 154 is the area in the code where the deprecated function was most likely used. This is mainly intended for the developer/programmer.

Generally, deprecation notices do not block code execution, which means these can be ignored unless it causes loss of functionality like inability to create tickets, inability of users to purchase tickets, etc.

That said, what I was really asking was what exactly were you experiencing? Were you unable to create tickets for your events? Were your users unable to purchase tickets?
