Same problem, the close X disappeared from Albums lightbox. There is only lightbox close button in galleries.

the problem is still not solved, why? very annoying

My problem still exists, why is this going on until a solution is found? I paid for this plugin so it should work

with 2.8.6 i have the same problem. how did you solved the problem?
