PDFs upload fine, but will not open when I click link on page

  • This is a weird one. I can upload WMA, JPG, GIF, and PDF just fine. I can link to them all but when I click on a PDF files only from within a web page, nothing happens. If I click on an image file, it opens fine. If I click on a WMA file, opens fine. When I click on the PDF file link, nothing.

    When I click on the “PM 2010-04-01 Regular Meeting Minutes” it does not open the PDF file. I can copy/paste the complete URL to a PDF in IE address bar and the file opens.

    It is on the server but nothing happens when I click the PDF text link. I have tried renaming the files, I have tried removing the target=”_blank”, I have tried uploading a totally new PDF file, but nothing.

  • They open up in a new tab fine for me (using Firefox).

    I have tried in FireFox and IE and they do not work for me or my client. I’ve done more investigating and I found that if I switched my site to a different theme, the PDF links work. So… something in the THATsimple theme code is stopping my PDF links from working.

    I also found out that if I hold the ctrl button down and click on the PDF link, then IE the PDF will open.

    What does this mean? Can you help me remove whatever CSS or PHP code that needs to be removed so that my links to PDF files works?
