    Hello,

We are currently utilizing the Wordfence free plugin, which includes the feature of email alerting for “Alert me when someone with administrator access signs in.”

We aim to exclude this feature for specific IPs. For instance, when the development team logs into the backend, we prefer not to receive admin login alerts.

Following our research, we have added the IPs to the “Ignored IP addresses for Wordfence Web Application Firewall alerting” field. However, despite this action, we continue to receive admin login alerts.

Could you kindly advise us on how to successfully achieve this?

    Thank you in advance.
    Jigna

    Hi @jessidemo,

Thank you for reaching out.  At this time, there is no way to prevent those emails based on the IP address logging in.  We’re always happy to look into the feasibility of changing or adding features based on customer feedback, so I’ve linked this topic to the team for further discussion internally. Unfortunately I can’t provide progress reports or potential release schedules here on the forums.

The Ignored IP addresses for Wordfence Web Application Firewall alerting option prevents email alerts being sent about blocking for that IP address, but will not impact login alerts. You can read more about this at https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/options/#ip-noalert?

For now, it may help to enable “Only alert me when that administrator signs in from a new device” in Wordfence > All Options > Email Alert Preferences if you haven’t already.  This will reduce the number of login notifications if your development team is generally logging in using the same devices.

    Thanks,
    Margaret
