The credit card button only shows on the cart page, which I actually didn’t intend on using, but since the button is there it might help understand the issue.

PayPal Payments seem to work fine, but I’d like the credit card button on my checkout page.

I’ve been really struggling with getting PayPal set up, spending hours and hours troubleshooting the PayPal Payments plugin. I’m wondering if the issues stem from the this business account being based in Japan? For example, I don’t see the option for reoccuring payments, maybe becuase Venmo is US only. The credit card drop down form is exactly like “advanced card processing” which I’m not sure Japan is supported..(tho I thought it was).

    Thanks

    Hi @antgo213

When reviewing your checkout page, I see the Credit/Debit card button, like on the cart page.

I don’t see the option for reoccuring payments

I am not sure I understand. Recurring payments come from things like Subscription products, which you would configure using a plugin like WooCommerce Subscriptions. You would need to request access to reference transactions, which is how a recurring payment can be charged via PayPal.

Our documentation has a guide on how to request access to reference transactions.

Yeah I was premature with my reaching out. I JUST “fixed” it; I had the “Use Place Order Button” checked. I unchecked it.

    Unreal…

Ya’ll are LIFE SAVERS. After literally spending HOURS troubleshooting a different plugin(s); this took me an hour.

If I knew what I was doing, it would have taken 2 minutes.

    ?????

One question tho if I may, if you select a country, click the credit card button, and it loads in, it loads a form specific to that country..which is amazing. If you change that country though, do you always have to X out and reload the form (by clicking the button again) or is it supposed to update? I’ve been having cache issue and I’m curious if this is another thing being effected.

    Hi @antgo213

Glad I was able to assist.

It’s not supposed to update. Once the card form renders, PayPal doesn’t provide a way to dynamically communicate any address changes from your checkout page to the PayPal card form. This wouldn’t be related to a cache issue, it’s just the nature of how PayPal is designed.

    Kind Regards
