    Hi,

    I having troubles with schedule post. When i check my site health, it said: “The scheduled event, wordfence_completeCoreUpdateNotification, failed to run. Your site still works, but this may indicate that scheduling posts or automated updates may not work as intended.” Can anyone help me how to fix this error. Also, i don’t know much about WordPress, so please show me step by step how to fix it.

    Thank you,

    Hi @andrewtdo,

    Thanks for reaching out.  The default behavior is for WP Crons to only run when your site is loaded, so an overdue job could be temporary if there were no hits on your site when the scheduled time was reached.  You can check for overdue cron jobs in Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics > Cron Jobs.

    If you’re still seeing wordfence_completeCoreUpdateNotification overdue, can you send a diagnostic report to wftest @ wordfence . com please? You can find the link to do so at the top of the Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics page. Then click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.

    NOTE: It should look as follows – Screenshot of Tools > Diagnostic > Send by Email

    Thanks,

    Hi @wfmargaret,

    I did send a diagnostic report yesterday. But I currently disable Wordfence to solve the problem. I hope you can help me fix this so I can continue to use Wordfence.

    Thank you

    Hi @andrewtdo,

    Thanks for sending those diagnostics! You have WP cron jobs and alternate cron jobs disabled. Do you have crons configured through your host? If not, please enable the WordPress cron system and ensure cron jobs are completing successfully. Your host should be able to assist with this.

    From your diagnostics, I’m also seeing some connectivity errors due to WP_HTTP_BLOCK_EXTERNAL being enabled. Please make a backup of your wp-config.php file. Then, locate the following line in the wp-config.php file:

    /* That's all, stop editing! Happy publishing. */

    You’ll want to add this directly above that line in the wp-config.php file to allow Wordfence access to the site:

    define('WP_ACCESSIBLE_HOSTS','*.wordfence.com,*.www.remarpro.com');

    You’re also running an outdated version of Wordfence. I recommend updating that in the dashboard until you’ve confirmed your cron jobs are running correctly again with automatic updates.

    Thanks,
    Margaret
