Support is hard to reach!
-
The plugin works, but it is difficult to get working and the help articles are very basic. Offering a multitude of ways to achieve the same goal might be useful for some; but it would make more sense if the necessary <head> code insertion happened when you installed OptinMonster, not requiring the use of yet another plugin to accomplish the goal. Whether this is the plugin or just WordPress’ very strange way of making things difficult and hiding everything you need to make your site function, I do not know.
It’s frustrating not being able to create a support ticket or contact chat support! The only way to contact support directly is to pay upfront for a year; alternatively you can post on a “community forum” and hope for a reply. Plus, they ask for your credit card information, even for the free version. I will note that OptinMonster replied to my community support post within 24 hours. While a prompter response would be helpful, at least I wasn’t left hanging. I am being told below that the lack of support for free customers is a Word Press requirement, but I don’t think I buy that excuse. Maybe they just get too many questions. But then again, maybe they wouldn’t be overwhelmed with questions like mine if the deployment was more straight forward.
