Cannot Arrange Parent/Child Pages in Appearance>Menus

I’m trying to set up my page hierarchy in appearance -> menus, nothing major, just a couple parent/child pages and everytime i click on “save menu” the hierarchy resets to all pages being a “parent” with no subpages. Any idea what im doing wrong? Ive been all over the net reading forums trying to find an answer, no dice. Any insight is appreciated, thanks!
