Warning: A non-numeric value encountered

This warning usually occurs when the system is trying to perform a mathematical operation on a non-numeric value.

However, it seems to be coming from your customization, as I couldn’t replicate this on my testing site.

The best way to determine this is to:

• Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront or Twenty Twenty-Four
• Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce and WooCommerce Square
• Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you do not see the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To determine which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

If the error persists, please enable WordPress debugging, and share the relevant entries from this log with us.

Hi – apologies for the delay. I have followed your suggestions & the Yith voucher works perfectly when square is deactivated. When square gets reactivated, the issue re-appears.

I’m not sure if this is the info you need from the debug.log file?

I went ahead with visiting the page at https://casspetersglassart.co.uk/product/gift-card/, and it appears the message that is displayed up-top is due to how WordPress Errors are set up currently (to display publicly). Below, I am attaching a screenshot, for reference.

Feel free to follow the steps outlined in the document linked here, in order to only have them logged to a file, instead.

Furthermore, the reported issue here appears to be some incompatibility between the two plugins (Square & YITH).

Just to clarify, kindly provide us with the following:

• The page to order a gift card, is it a Square Gift card (documentation linked here), or otherwise?
• What is the current version of the WooCommerce Square plugin currently activated on the site?
• What is the name, and version, of the YITH plugin mentioned (YITH voucher)?

• it is a yith gift card (not square)
• square version is 4.6.1
• YITH WooCommerce Gift Cards, version 4.13.0

Since our plugin is working fine per se, there’s not much we can do on our end. It’s on YITH’s side to fix this compatibility issue to make sure their plugin works with payment processor plugins.

However, were you aware that with our Square plugin you can also enable gift cards? https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-square/faq/#section-19
