Popup opening when it’s not supposed to

    Hello,

    I added the popup to an icon in Elementor to open a popup with a search box. Works ok but when the results page loads the popup opens again.

    Can you let me know how to fix this so it doesn’t open without the icon being clicked.

    Hi @webwizz ,

    Thanks for reaching out.

    It could be that the popup has a Time Delay / Auto Open Trigger.

    If that’s the case, kindly edit the popup and remove the Time Delay / Auto Open Trigger to make the popup only display when the icon is clicked.

    The popup is just set for Click Open. I’ve used your plugin a lot so understand how the triggers work – never seen this before that it opens on a different page without clicking.

    Hi @webwizz,

    It looks like the Search Form block is adding the popup ID as a parameter after the search term in the URL.

    A workaround would be to prevent the popup from appearing on the Search Results page by adding a negative targeting to it.

    Hi @webwizz,

    We’re glad that worked!

    There’s a more appropriate option you can enable in your popup Settings > Advanced tab called “Disable automatic re-triggering of popup after non-ajax form submission.“.

    You can opt to check that instead if you want to do away with the targeting. It will work just the same. ??
