Hiding Title and Site Description

Hi.

I’m using twenty ten and I’ve searched the site for help on this topic. I’ve learned to put this code, in I believe the main css file.

#header h1 { display:none }
#site-description { display:none }

It works for the home page.

https://selfparenting.com/blog/

but then doesn’t work on the other pages, but only the title, as the site description is still gone. Here’s a sample.

Not sure why this is or what to do to solve it. I’ve tried several ideas. Help please,
