Usage with block navigation

The plugin works fine within a classsic theme. However, I could not figure out how to use it with a block theme. Using Twenty-twentythree, first of all there is no “menu” under Appearance, so it seems that the only possibility is to work on the block Navigation menu. But I was not able to duplicate what was easily accomplished with a classic menu in the menu page, since it seems not possible to add new entries (login, logout, hello username) to the menu with the proper classes, as outlined in the Info tab of the plugin settings, or to use the other methods (like shortcodes).

Of course, the main reason can indeed be my lack of experience, also because the plugin is “Compatible with your version of WordPress (6.5)”, but I was convinced that the introduction of blocks was supposed to facilitate the development. Maybe the plugin needs an update of the user guide?
