    Hello there,

First of all, thank you very much for the great plugin.

We have just changed web hosting company and it was from Plesk to cPanel. We just realized that the staging site no longer valid in new server even entire WP has been copied.

Can I check if we still able to get the existing staging site back? as we have some updated code snippets and so on need to retrieve from the staging site.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Best regards, Hooi Ling

    Hi Hooi Ling!

Please check with the developer who migrated your site to ensure the staging site’s folder and its database tables were transferred to the new server or not.

If they are transferred, then you need to modify the database entries to point to the new staging site’s folder path, and modify the wp-config.php file of the staging site to make sure it points to the new server’s database.

Checking this guide can give you a general idea about where you should modify the database information, and for any further questions, please reach out to us via this form.

    Thanks,
    Alaa

    Hello Alaa,

Noted your message and thank you very much for your prompt reply.

Btw, can the user at staging site apply changes to the live site if the “Reset” or the “Push Changes” available at the pro version been selected? My concern is in case there are any accidentally changes made by user at staging site; or the “Reset” and “Push Chages” only applicable and take effect at live wp-admin backend?

    Again, thanks for your help.

    Best regards, Hooi Ling

    Hi Hooi!
Yes, as you guessed, (push, reset, update) are only available from the live site’s plugin interface.

    Hello Alaa,

This is great! The “update” referring to the update to the staging site from our live site or revert?

    Thanks again.

    Hi Hooi!

Yes, “Update” will make the staging site look exactly like the live site, check this article:

    Thanks,
    Alaa
