• I took a backup with this plugin before migrating my website and downloaded it to my computer. After migration, when I tried to restore the backup, it stuck at 10% and never restored my site. I was f***d up. I relied on this plugin with only one backup file, and that was never restored with this plugin after dozens of tries and after implementing all the required settings from Cpanel.
I do not recommend using this plugin. Always back up your website with 2-3 of the most trusted plugins before migrating, and take extra backup copies. It wasted my whole day. I had to restore my website manually.

    Hello,

We are sorry for the negative experience you had.
Would you please tell us if you migrated the domain to the new location too? As from what you have explained the issue is that Backuply makes a request to restore_ins.php file of Backuply, from your server to start the restore. And if you have not migrated your domain to the new location and are just using your website by editing the host files and pointing the domain to the new IP, that means only your computer knows to route your domain to your new IP not your server.

And if this is not the case then there might be some issue with the htaccess as when trying to connect to restore_ins.php it would be giving a 404 error.

    Regards,
    Backuply Team
