Oh, BOAT…. hehe… I htough it said bLoatblog….my bad….

Nice site. One critique — Blue / Black on blue is hard to read. Might want to change the side bar headers and the calendar colors to lighter colors, like white or silver or gray for better reading.

Edit: Ok, it’s not the side bar headers, it’s the content itself.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve changed the text colors for the left hand menus to white (with a black on lite blue hover). See if this looks better. I also changed the calendar.

I’ve been playing with these color combos for a couple of weeks before I posted my original blog here – these things always drive me nuts! Your comment was really appreciated – I needed the input.

Interesting, can’t remember seeing a blog on boating before. As one who grew up around them (Great Lakes, 20 year Navy vet) your title caught me eye.

One suggestion, (by an admittedly prejudiced racing nut) you might consider a section on boat racing (power & sail).

But that’s just me, and I already gave you my disclaimer.

I’ll look to add that if you promise to write the first blog in the category and invite your boating buddies to join the blog ??

Would you suggest two seperate categories for power and sail, or just one?

I like it! Fun place…. I don’t “boat” since the only “lakes” around here are southwest desert reservoirs with no character and muddy fish…. oh for the northwest oceans….. *sigh*

Does anyone have ideas on how to get folks to start posting on my site? I have some registered users, but I think that no one wants to be the first.
