    Hello there @frabie ,

Thank you for reaching out with your query regarding the use of custom post types within MailPoet’s Automatic Latest Content element. We understand the importance of tailoring your email campaigns to fit your unique content strategy, and we’re here to assist you in achieving this.

To better understand your needs and explore potential workarounds or solutions, could you please provide us with more details about the specific types of custom post types you’re looking to include in your post notifications? Knowing the nature of your content will help us in identifying the best approach to support your requirements within MailPoet.

Additionally, it would be helpful to know any particular features or data associated with these custom post types that you wish to highlight in your newsletters. This information can guide us in offering more precise and relevant advice or workarounds.

Once we have a clearer understanding of your needs, we’ll be in a better position to support you or guide you toward the best possible integration method.

    Looking forward to your response.

There should definitely be support for adding Custom Post Types as triggers for Automatic Post Notifications. For me and other developers, just some WordPress hooks (along with a guide on how to use them) would be sufficient.

Sample use cases from just one of my clients:

    1. A user creates a new Ad in an Advertising plugin (esp. for Help Wanted on a Community website).
    2. A Job is posted on a Job board.
    3. A user creates a new Topic in a Forum.
    4. For Events, add the Event time and date to the post notification (MailPoet doesn’t do this now, so I end up repeating the date and time in the title of the event.)

    Hi @larrydaniele ,

    Thanks for providing further details.

Currently, the Automatic Latest Content widget does support custom post types as long as they are searchable on the front-end (i.e exclude_from_search should be set to false).

So if that’s your case, it should work. Let us know otherwise.

Thanks, @guicmazeredo. I’ll have to investigate if these CPTs are searchable and why they are not showing up in MailPoet.
