You want to add a profile picture to appear on your posts ?
    Be more specific.

yea, I was referring to when you post, and the link below the title of the post says – posted on [date] by [name], when you click on the name, you are taken to the author page with a blurb about the author. Right now there is just a placeholder picture with a silo, but I want to replace with an actual picture of myself. Come to think of it a thumbnail image beside the author name on the post would be a nice touch too!

You can use this plug-in .
After you install it, you can upload an picture in your profile settings.

I use Author Exposed for this feature, when a visitor clicks your name, a popup box appears and shows the avatar and information about you.
For this plug-in you need to have your email registered on gravatar , where you will add there an avatar. You need to use the same email from your wp account, of course.
