I installed WordPress 3.0.1 with multisite enabled (subfolders) and it works fine. However, I can’t figure out how to allow all users to create blogs/sites on demand (as many as they want). The only user who can create sites right now is the SuperAdmin using /wp-admin/ms-sites.php.

Am I missing something obvious? I searched for a while but came up with nothing.

If it matters, we’re using the Simple LDAP Login plugin. All users are given the Author role.

    Thanks.

  • Go to Super Admin -> Options. Check the “allow users to create sites” button.

they’ll get a link under the Dashboard, and you can also direct them to wp-signup.php.

That would be perfect! Unfortunately, my SuperAdmin Options page does not contain an “Allow users to create sites” button. Any idea why it might be missing?

Never mind, found it now! It was under Registration / Allow New Registrations:

“Logged in users may register new sites.”

    Thank you.
