• Updated to 5.4 to fix the white screen issue. After upgrading, everyone can see the front page and any link leads to a white screen. I verified this by logging out of Chrome (my primary browser) and also checking Firefox and IE.

I know there is a new feature to allow people to access the front page while in maintenance mode, but I have not set the home page to be excluded. I currently have no way to hide my site which is currently under development.

    Quick update:

Deactivated this plugin, installed wp maintenance mode, it had an issue with https://www.x.com versus x.com so I deactivated that, reactivated the Maintenance Mode plugin, and now it returns a white screen again.

Better than a broken site I guess.
