• I've been using Download Monitor for a few years, and over time it has improved from being just "satisfactory" for me to being a "perfect fit."

Downloads are a very small but important element of my website.

I have just over 100 download files, which include a very few publicly available downloads - one with over
5,500 downloads, a dozen with about 2,400 downloads and another dozen with about 1,000 downloads, and the rest intended for more limited audiences (less than 40 downloads intended). Some are for client

deliverables from password-protected pages - just one or two downloads.

One of my more recent downloads is a "living document" that I'll keep updated with 4 to 5 revisions a year. That's new for me.

The versioning functionality, the simplicity of the plugin's use, and the fact that it is continually improved and updated are very important to me.
Even though the plugin has more capabilities than I use, those don't keep my use of it from being very
    simple. That's rare.

I heartily recommend this plugin for facilitating file download management.
