example.org/2010/10/10/-hello-world/I’m working on a multisite installation that was recently upgraded from a WPMU 292.
There are these about one year old articles with dashes in fancy position like in the examples above in their url. The articles exist, but cannot be loaded in the frontend. Renaming the slug fixes the problem, even if the Google indexed version still gives 404 until a 301 is done.
Trying to rename the slug back to the bugged form, is not allowed by the dashboard, so I think maybe the bad url design is now prohibited, but still posts with that that post_name are not queried correctly from the database.
What is the right course of action in this case? I have to manually rename the slugs and manually put 301 redirect in htaccess for a week or two untile Google stops trying to load them?
