• Hello,
    Thanks for the great plugin.
I have a problem : when using the gutemberg block with a GPX I have a lot of options (session summary, altitude graph, …) but when I’m using the shortcode with a FIT file I am unable to find these options. Only color, units and interactive seems available.

And also I have a request : in the session summary, could we have the options to choose what we want to display ? I don’t need time or moving time for example.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,

Yes, in the shortcode version, there’s limited options – I think the shortcode version would be too complicated, with too much potential for errors if there’s too many options. However, you should see all the same options with a .fit file as you see with a .gpx file in the block version, though.

I’ll have a look at adding options for the Summary.

First, a huge thanks for your quick answer. That’s really nice !
I’m currently creating a website for a bike club. We are using “The Event calendar” for all of our rides and instead of just a link to a Garmin Connect page, i would display a map in the event.
The problem is that event creation / edition doesn’t use the gutemberg block method but just the classic one with shortcode.
I really like your plugin but without altitude or summary it’s not really usable for us.

Concerning the number of options in the shortcode, if they are well documented as those existing, it wouldn’t be a problem. Having 10 options is not huge in the wordpress world ??

    Hi,

OK, let me have a think about it, and see how I can implement the shortcode options.

One thing I’m working on that might be of interest is an option to add a ‘Share’ button, that’ll download a gpx file that you can upload to your Garmin, wahoo, etc., for routing. It’s still in progress at the moment.

Oh yes that would be really great !
I volunteer to be your beta tester. (for more options and download feature for sure)

I have a lot of other ideas ?? Like displaying multiples GPX on one map based on a user selection or something else.
It would be useful for roadtrip blog that have multiple file for example.
