• On a custom, self-managed VPS this plug brought my server to its knees, resulting in constant 504 gateway timeouts until I deleted it. Glad I only tested this on one site, I will not use it again and will keep my files locked down instead.

    Hello Arp,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I am sorry to read about your issue.

Would you be able to share some more information with us, so we can understand the problem? For example:

    1. Did you see performance issues whilst viewing the plugins admin area, or was it at all times whilst a scan was ongoing?

    2. What version of WordPress and PHP are you running?

The more information you can share with us the better for us to understand the issue.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

I was getting 504 errors so I couldn’t even load the site, front end or back end. I would reboot my VPS (SpinupWP & DigitalOcean) and the site would be fine for a few minutes and then crash again. Debug.log showed a RedisException and your plugin was mentioned, along with Ninja Forms. Removing your plugin made my site work like normal again ?????♂?

Is there a private way I can send you the relevant entry from debug.log?

It would be great if you can send us the logs Arp. Please send them over email at [email protected]. Please make reference to this ticket in your email so we know what it is about.

Thank you very much for your cooperation.

I understand you encountered a possible bug or compatibility issue that could certainly be addressed. I don’t believe it warrants a one-star rating. Encountering errors and challenges is part of our daily IT experiences, and it’s not uncommon. I’m sure you’re frustrated with the time lost, as am I and many others when these situations occur. Welcome to the real life of an IT professional! ??

That’s fair, I bumped it to 3 stars and most of that is for the professional response from Melapress. I’d say that most WP users aren’t IT professionals and wouldn’t come close to figuring out what the source of the issue would be. I don’t know if I need this plugin moving forward, but I did agree to test a build in the future to help them out.
