    Dear Jacob,

    I love your plugin!

    Just three questions:

    1.:

In your list of albums, whether they are displayed in a flat or a structured manner, only the overall total number of albums is being displayed.

In order to not having the need for counting manually, is there a chance (somewhere) to get the number of “Top-Level”-Albums, which equals in my case the number of users that went into their account actively at least once? All other Albums of a user are – in my case – typically under his/her main one.

    2.:

In your German translations, you translate “Number of contributors: %d” differently from my use case. Yes, I can change but I will have to change with almost every plugin update.

So, could this string, eventually, be a text changeable by the administrator?

    3.:

As I am the administrator with a second “normal” user, how can I have my album not always re-appear, even after I deleted it?

Alternatively, is it possible to exclude albums from being listed with [wppa type=”content” album=”1″]?

Thanks a lot for your kind support.

    Best regards,
    Michael

    1. My sugested chsnge will read:

There are total 39 albums of which 24 toplevel albums in the system.
There are 514 media items in the system
    100 items are pending moderation.

The most recently added album is New Album (457).
The most recently added item is 20240322_175610 (76894) in album Casa Vita (411).

    2. I can do that, but maybe you want it to be something that could be usefull for everybody, so i wonder what you should like it to be

    3.

As I am the administrator with a second “normal” user, how can I have my album not always re-appear, even after I deleted it?

How do you do that? At the frontend or a the backend. Maybe using a non-wppa caching?

You can avoid displaying albums for non-logged-in users by setting the album status to private. You can avoid displaying empty albums for everyone except admin and the owner. See Basic settings -> Albums -> II -> Item 7: Skip empty albums

    Dear Jacob,

wow, you are fast ?? !

For 1.: this would be phantastic as it is just some more information and useful for anyone without bothering someone!

For 2.: Well, I think the original German translation is “Anzahl der Mitarbeiter: %d”, I am using “Mitwirkende” instead, someone else would probably like to use even something else.
Probable solution: under “Extended Settings” – “Admin” – VI (Other for administrators”), one could add line 18 for the admin to enter any other string in the language used on the page (if there’s just one typical language). Every other administrator could leave it blank, so everything would work like before (the default could be displayed as placeholder), or the admin could provide his translation there.
Just an idea, which would probably annoy nobody…

For 3.: Just skipping empty albums is exactly what I was looking for (I was talking about the logged-in area).

Thanks, Jacob, for your great support!

    Take care!

    Michael

I have changed the translation of that item.
