According to the WordPress documentation of your plugin, there are two ways we can use it to create a “Buy now” or “Pay” button :

    • either we create a product in the admin dashboard and then we use a shortcode to put a buy button for this product,
    • or we specify the item details in a shortcode to dynamically create a payment button.

I’ve been using this second way for several years in some websites without any problem. But I recently discovered in one your tutorials that the dynamic creation of a payment button has been deprecated.
Does it mean that you plan to remove this possibility in the near future ? If you actually do, when ?

Thanks in advance for your return on this.

Thank you for reaching out to us. According to the document you shared above this is what it says.

This feature is deprecated. It is not recommended to use this option. Please create a product inside the plugin and then use that product on your site.

I suggest that you create your products inside the plugin. This will prevent issues from happening in your site in the near future.

    Kind regards.

Thanks for your feedback. Can you give me an approximate date when the feature will no longer be supported?

Hi, Our intention is to support it for as long as possible. At the moment, we haven’t decided on a date yet.

The main problem with the 2nd option is that when the product information is not saved, it creates a lot of limitations in terms of what features can be offered there. So over time it’s becoming increasing difficult to offer all the features of the plugin uniformly to both the shortcodes. We can foresee that there will come a time in the future when we will have to go with the more robust option so the plugin can continue to get new features.

    Hi,

I understand your point. I will follow your recommendations and change my applications in such a way they use products created inside the plugin.

Thanks again for your software and your support.
