    Hi,

I’m using this plugin plus FluentSMPT.

“Maximum Email Limit Per Second” setting – what figure do you recommend for the email sending rate when using Amazon SES, please?

    Thanks,

    Steve

Hi @stevenw123, It’s best to configure these settings based on your AWS limits. You’ll find AWS 24-hour sending limits on your SES account dashboard. At the same time, we also recommend you not put too much pressure on your server if it’s not a high-quality one. For example, if you’re using basic hosting with regular server specs, sticking to a 15 email/second would be best. But if you have high-quality hosting and an exceptional 24-hour sending quota, you can modify your settings based on that. Remember, the most emails you attempt per second, the more of your server resources will be used.

    Hi Nazir,

    Thanks for your reply.

My hosting isn’t the lowest quality available, but it’s not super high, either. I was figuring 15 per second might be high, but if you say that’s an ordinary amount, I’ll go with it.

    Thanks again.

If your specs are capable of multi-threaded sending (the following requirements), you can increase the number significantly. Check these out:

Please make sure your server meets the following requirements for optimal performance.

    • Multiple CPU on the server.
    • At least 4GB Server Memory (RAM).
    • Rate limit of your SMTP/Email Sending Service is within the max email sending rate set in email settings.
    • Max Execution Time of PHP value should within within 50-60 seconds.
    • If you already have a good sending speed. Do not enable this feature.
