WooThemes Original Premium News Images

On my blog front page I have 2 posts one on top of the other which contains a picture next to each which says “there is no image for this post right now”. How do I make this disappear and just simply have the post synopsis appear next to each other? Also, underneath these posts I see 2 images that I setup for the latest news posts. When I click on them nothing happens. How do I make them disappear? I have tried changing the featured.php file but can’t get it to work. Thanks.
