Hello, I have two sites using this plugin, and both are experiencing problem. One will never finish the initial setup and the other one is not able to load the feed. All I see is an error message “An error occurred while retrieving your product feed. Please try again later.” I waited for a night but the problem is still there. Anyone else experiencing this please?

  • Hi @pinnosea,

Thank you for reaching out to us about the issue you’re facing with your product feed. I understand the error message “An error occurred while retrieving your product feed. Please try again later” is causing trouble for both of your sites. Fear not! We’ll tackle this step by step.

    PHP Memory Limit:

The first thing to check is your PHP memory limit. Sometimes, insufficient memory can lead to issues like this. I recommend increasing the PHP memory limit for your WordPress site. You can do this by editing your wp-config.php file.

    PHP Time-Limit:

Alongside memory, let’s also adjust the PHP time limit. Set it to more than 300 seconds to ensure that your site has enough time to process the feed.

    Site Configuration File:

Sometimes, issues can stem from misconfigurations. I recommend reaching out to your web hosting provider and asking them to check if there’s any issue with your site’s configuration file. They can verify settings related to your server environment.

If the problem persists, let’s dig deeper, please can you share a copy of the following:

    • System Status Report: Navigate to WooCommerce → Status. Select Get System Report and then Download for Support.
    • Fatal Error log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce → Status → Logs.

You could copy and paste your reply or share it via?Mozilla Community Pastebin?and share the link here. This will help us investigate further and provide you with a more accurate solution.

Please give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi @pinnosea,

Thank you for providing the additional information.

The fatal error you’ve shared indicates the maximum execution time of 300 seconds is being exceeded. This can occur when a process takes longer than the allocated time, which might be the case with the product feed retrieval.

I suggest increasing the PHP time limit to 1200 seconds and see if that resolves the issue.

Also, the Pastebin seems not found or may have expired. Could you please share it again with a longer expiration time?

If the problem persists, follow these steps to disconnect and reconnect your merchant account again:

Next, go to Marketing > Google Listings & Ads and set up the connection again.

Let us know how it goes! Looking forward to resolving this issue for you.
