Hi, I have a premium version of Amelia. But the registration was done for me by the developer who made my website. So it is the only place where I can ask for support even if it is limited.

It had been in working for about 9 months and since 2 days the notifications have stopped working, no configuration changes have been made. They have simply stopped working on their own, neither the test notifications nor the real ones. When I try to send a test notification I get and “Error: mail has not been sent” message.

The version of Amelia I am using is: 7.4.3.

I have tried the configuration in the guide of Amelia Docs to do it through Google SMTP, I have also tried the STMP of my hosting through a third party plugin such as WP Mail SMTP.

When I try to do a test send the browser (Google Chrome) console returns those messages:

[Deprecation] Listener added for a synchronous 'DOMNodeInserted' DOM Mutation Event. This event type is deprecated (https://w3c.github.io/uievents/#legacy-event-types) and work is underway to remove it from this browser. Usage of this event listener will cause performance issues today, and represents a risk of future incompatibility. Consider using MutationObserver instead.

I want to emphasize that 2 days ago I have tested test mails because was changing the text inside and they were working, since then nothing has been touched in the settings. Only the Amelia plugin has been updated.

I have contacted my hosting provider and they confirm that from their side there is no blocking of third party submissions and everything is fine.

PS: The other WordPress notifications are working without problem, password recovery and normal forms. The problem is only with Amelia.

    Thank you for your help
    Regards

Hello, thank you for reaching out to us.

An issue with email notifications could be caused by several reasons:

    1. Your hosting provider is blocking all 3rd party settings and only allowing their SMTP (or other) settings.
    2. Your website has a PHP version of less than 7.
    3. The credentials are not correct.
    4. There’s something else blocking the notifications from being sent.
    5. If you’re using Gmail, please check out this article for detailed setup instructions.

Please check these points, and let us know if you were able to resolve the issue.

Hello, thanks for replying. I’ve already checked all the points, but I couldn’t find the problem. I finally contacted with the website developer, and he opened a private ticket with official premium support. We can continue the there.

    Regards,
