    Hi,

We are attempting to add a text field to our WooCommerce site using your plugin, which requires exactly 8 characters. However, when testing it on the frontend, it allows us to enter text that does not meet this rule (for example, a text of 3 characters) without displaying any notification and allowing us to proceed to the next step of the checkout. Could you explain why this is happening and how we can resolve it? We appreciate your assistance.

@djwilko12 Could you please specify each one (Free or Pro)? Perhaps there is an update available that has not been verified.

    Best regards.

is the free version. It allows you to set min/max characters. See image attached. We set 8 for both.

but if you add 3 characters for example, and you move to another checkout field, you should get an alert warning you that the criteria is not correct. Right now, you only get the warning when you click on PLACE ORDER button. But that is not right… you should warn the user if he/she tried to add something but didnt do it correctly

Hi mate, I understand your concern and appreciate your feedback on the current behavior of the Checkout Manager plugin. However, it is important to note that the behavior you describe is consistent with standard functionality of WooCommerce and most eCommerce platforms.

In WooCommerce, field validations such as min/max character length are usually checked when trying to submit the order, i.e. clicking the “PLACE ORDER” button.

    Thanks.

Is there a way to apply the validation on the field itself?

@djwilko12 Hi mate, You can use regex to set validations in the fields, please check our screenshot: https://snipboard.io/YbMzsr.jpg

    hi

in precious message you asked me if I was using free o premium and I answered free.

the screenshot you shared is showing a field that says is a premium feature.

1- could you please show me a screenshot showing how the validation works on the field itself ?

2- how to do it on the free version?

    Hi mate,

Unfortunately, in the free version of our plugin, there is no way to perform validations on the field you mentioned. The feature you are looking for is only available in the premium version of the plugin. I apologize for any confusion this may have caused

    Hello,

I asked a friend who has the Pro version with multi-step capabilities, and he mentioned that validation with the Pro version occurs upon clicking the “Place Order” button. This means that, even with the Pro version, the issue remains the same. From your end, you might want to check this… It doesn’t make sense for validation to occur at the “Place Order” step instead of during the previous steps.

@djwilko12 Hi mate, we sincerely apologize for the confusion. We misunderstood your initial inquiry, thinking it pertained to validating regular expressions rather than the timing of validation. In the case of WooCommerce, due to its functioning, validations cannot occur until the user clicks the “Place Order” button. We apologize for any misunderstanding this may have caused.

    Best regards, Matias.
