Don’t understand why sending/excluding emails to already made orders

Hi, can you explain what is the “Exclude email sending For” setting for?
I can’t find any documentation on this feature, is not included in the video, or your website…I do not understand why you want to include or exclude the sending of the emails for orders that are already made… I thought this plugin was for recovering abandoned carts not already made orders ?? this is confusing.
Can you please add more information?Thank you.
