Getting raw HTML appearing at end of post excerpt for Read More link

    Hi – when submitting my post to LinkedIn, it is showing raw HTML at the end of the excerpt:

    <p class="read-more-container"><a title="" class="read-more button" href="hashtag#more-" aria-label="Read more about ">Read more</a></p>

    How do I prevent this from happening?

    PHP Version: 7.4.33
    WordPress Version: 6.4.3
    Plugin Version: 8.13

    Hi @wrightj2,

    You might have a plugin or theme adding that. In this case it is best to not use the shortcode for the post excerpt and instead put the share message in the actual share message box.
