I have used this plugin for some weeks and it has worked fine but suddenly in last 24 hours, it is chewing up 94% of the server CPU!!! Server kept getting overloaded and website became inaccessible. And this is a server that has normally been running at less than 20% CPU usage. The moment I disable it, everything goes back to normal.

I see a plugin update 19 hours ago which I am afraid is a very badly written upgrade.

  • I agree that the new version is very bad. Before version 2.0, everything was fast and simple. Now it ‘s something clumsy . I had to abandon this plugin and use a solution that gives the same result in 3 seconds.

Hello lethalmiko, I am sorry to read about your experience. Version 2 is not an update of the previous version, but a completely new plugin. We have basically redesigned the plugin and this “new plugin” technically is way better than the previous version.

However, of course there are always exceptions and it seems something on your website is triggering the plugin to consume more resources than it should. By any chance do you have a staging website on which you can run some tests?

Maybe if possible, on the staging website you can deactivate all the other plugins, run the scan and start activating the plugins one by one until you notice the spike in CPU usage. We would like to see which is that plugin, so we can try to reproduce that issue on our end and fix it.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

@ravilr63: please open your own forum thread if you need assistance from us. Even though your problem might be similar, it could be a total different issue. Thank you for your cooperation.
