Hey @nilskroeger,

It seems like something might be preventing the plugin from accessing the REST API, hence the 404 errors you’re seeing there.

From your active plugins list I would say it’s probably Application Passwords (which hasn’t been updated in 3 years by the way.)

When the health plugin is installed and active, it still doesn’t show on Frontpage.

Interestingly the tool works if added to a new (empty) subpage and via WordPress Editor and not Elementor.

Ah, the classic WordPress Popular Posts widget doesn’t work all that great with Elementor. I may or may not create an actual “Popular Posts” Elementor widget sometime in the future, for the time being you’ll have to use the [wpp] shortcode instead.

Would it be possible for your plugin to, instead of own widget, just add an option here with “Sort by Views”?

If so, how big donation so it’s implemented by end of the week? ??

(It can already show the views in the metadata, so probably just a few lines needed to make it an option there I would guess)

I would need to have a look at Elementor’s documentation to see how that could be done (if it’s even possible.) I’ll leave a comment here once I know more.

Actually: How to query popular posts with Elementor (it’s a couple of years old so I’m not sure if that still works, please give it a try and let me know how it goes.)
