I have a multisite network. I am facing the issue to import the templates in the child sites and while trying to import the template its gives an error in the console and the import is not being complete. While everything is working properly in the main site of the network.

And this is the problem with the version 3.19.2 and switching to the version 3.18.3 solves everything

    Hello @subhajitwisdm,

Thank you for contacting Elementor Support.

Can you please a screenshot of the error you are getting?

Also, please share a link to the site.

And please make sure the that child site and the parent site has the exact same versions of Elementor.

    Best Regards.

    Hi @subhajitwisdm,

It might be a conflict with your theme or plugins,

Please follow these steps, and let me know if it solved your issue:

    • Deactivate all of your plugins except Elementor then try to import again. If this solves the problem, gradually activate your plugins one by one, until you spot the problematic plugin.
    • Switch your WordPress theme to WordPress default WordPress theme such as Twenty Twenty Four temporarily – and see if it solves your error.
    • If that doesn’t work, make sure that your website meets the system requirement for Elementor – https://elementor.com/help/requirements/
    • This could be server-related so you can reach out to your hosting provider. Ask them to check the error logs to determine the cause of the error and make sure that there are no security settings or firewall configuration such as ModSec.

I hope this information helped you.

    Kind regards,

    Hello Elementor Team,

I have found one solution of the issue. Once I am enabling the setting “Enable Unfiltered File Uploads” from the Elementor settings, the import template is working properly.

From this solution, could you have an idea of the possible cause or reason of the error? Also, is the error related to the current version? Because switching to the Elementor version 3.18.3 resolves the issue and I did not need to manually go and enabling the settings.

    Hi @subhajitwisdm,

Thank you for reaching out and updating us on the issue you faced. I’m glad to hear that the problem has been resolved.

It’s important to note that when importing templates or kits, enabling the “Enable Unfiltered File Uploads” setting is necessary. This setting provides flexibility in file uploads, which is often required for the import process to work smoothly.

As for the cause of the error and its relation to the current version of Elementor, it’s likely that the issue stemmed from WordPress security restrictions. Changes or improvements in newer Elementor versions may have affected how file uploads are handled during imports.

I hope this explanation clears things up.

    Kind regards,

    Alain

Hello @subhajitwisdm !! It’s been quite a few days since your latest reply, so we will conclude this conversation due to inactivity, but feel free to contact us again for further questions. Have a good day!

I’m having the same issue, I created the site flawlessly in non-multisite, but when I converted to multisite, it won’t let me edit the pages giving me a 403 error when trying to access wp-json/elementor/v1/globals

it works if I set permalinks to plain, but that is a real pain if I have to do that every time I want to make a change to a page, it also makes any search engine links unavailable while I’m editing a single page on the site.
