Automation doesn’t send opt-in confirmation email

    Hello! I’m using automation to add a customer to a specific mailing lists based on the product they buy. The customer is added to the list, but the opt-in email isn’t sent.

    It’s possible to go into that mailing list and press the link to send the opt-in email manually – but it should be done automatically!

    Hi there @katso,

    The automation will expect the initial opt-in, which is a generic agreement to receive emails from your site, to be done as part of the checkout process.

    Please use the MailPoet > Settings on the “Sign Up Confirmation” tab to adjust your settings to provide an opt-in checkbox on the checkout screen.

    This will allow interested customers to provide consent (and receive the confirmation email), then the automation can add them to your list.
